Move a deal through Opportunity phases

Your Opportunities board is your pipeline at a glance — but only if the cards live in the right columns. Keep it current and your business becomes visible; let it drift and Command is just a place deals go to be forgotten.

  1. Know the phases. An Opportunity moves left to right: from cultivating the relationship, to the appointment, to actively working (showing or listing), to under contract, to closed. Each phase has stages inside it for finer tracking.
  2. Move the card when reality moves. Signed the buyer agreement? Went active? Offer accepted? Drag the Opportunity to its new phase the same day. Guide: Manage Your Opportunities.
  3. Under contract is a trigger, not just a column. The moment a deal moves there, the clock starts: 48-hour paperwork, the compliance checklist, and eventually the commission request.
  4. Review the board every Momentum Monday. Anything sitting in a phase longer than feels right is either a follow-up task waiting to be set — or a deal that needs a clean termination.
