Office how-to · Command, piece by piece

Add a contact the right way

Met someone at an open house, a party, the gym? Thirty seconds of good entry now beats ten minutes of "who was that?" in three months.

  1. Add them on the spot, from your phone. Command App → Contacts → +. Guide: Add a Contact in the Command App (desktop version: here).
  2. Capture the four fields that matter: name, cell, email, and how you met them (lead source). Everything else can wait; those four can't.
  3. Tag them immediately — at minimum where they came from ("open-house", "sphere") and what they are ("buyer-2026", "seller-maybe").
  4. Set the first task: a follow-up within 48 hours, while they still remember you. New contact + no task = a name you collected, not a relationship you started.
Whole phone book still not in Command? That's the two-minute import — do it once, then this guide is only for the new people you meet.
