License & MLS membership

Nothing else can start until this is done — it's the blocking step.

Newly licensed agents

  1. Confirm your license is active with IPLA. Check status at the IPLA License Lookup.
  2. Join the MLS board for your market. The office is a member of all three — pick by where your business will be, and ask us first if you're not sure:
    · MIBOR (Indy metro — most of our agents) — apply here. MIBOR's welcome email includes the required Tech Fee payment link for full BLC access. Once you're in: how to use MIBOR & the BLC.
    · THAAR (Terre Haute) — join here.
    · Bloomington board (IRMLS) — paper application; tell us if you plan to join and we'll walk it in with you.
  3. Email your MIBOR number to the office as soon as you have it so we can activate your agent website.

Transferring agents

Once your license transfer is complete with the state, we handle your MLS membership transfer for you. Nothing for you to do here.
